Photo Gallery: Creekside Woods Fall Roast 2017

On Sunday, October 22nd, the Creekside Woods hosted their annual Fall Roast in the woods of Bensalem. The event was very low-key and consisted mostly of the trail locals and a few others that made the trip out for the day. Frank Ashbridge (Shutter Destruction) was on hand during the event, as was Kyle Dipilla to shoot photos for respective galleries. Frank’s gallery is up first and includes photos of Bobby Lutz, Andy Celins, Michael Kasama, Michael McLoughlin, Keith Yahrling, Ed Huett and more. Our ‘Featured Photo’ this week comes to us from the FBM “Ghetto King Of Bert” contest held this past weekend in Richmond, VA at the Powers Bike Shop and features Mason Ritter mid-Flair Tailwhip. The photo was shot by Matt Hovermale and was included in a gallery of photos on the Least Most website which you can view in it’s entirety by clicking here. If you look carefully you might even see a Halahan or two.

Featured Photo: Jeff Purdy

Our ‘Featured Photo’ this week is a double dose of Jeff Purdy getting rad at the O’Hara Trails in Delaware County, PA. The first photo showcases Jeff properly dipping a Toboggan over a set and the second is a classic (and personal favorite) One Handed Tabletop. Both photos were shot by Brendan Mulrooney during a session at the trails last week.

If you haven’t been paying attention, Jeff was recently picked up by both GT Bikes and The Daily Grind and is currently heavily involved in filming for Stink Pit 5 and the L.O.W. BMX video. Brendan Mulrooney has also just started up an Instagram account for his photography which you can follow by clicking here.

Stranded In Philadelphia

Last month, word trickled down the grapevine that Gutstains was in the greater Philadelphia area. If you paid attention, a couple of photos taken by Gutstains turned up on Instagram and he could also be spotted in John Yoh’s first Animal Bikes edit that dropped earlier this month. Ride BMX has a gallery of photos that chronicle Gutstains month long impromptu trip to the City of Brotherly Love accompanied by some written word. The event brought riders from around the world to the city of Philadelphia for the final Street Series. This past weekend, Brendan Mulrooney made his way to Philadelphia for The Street Series along with hundreds of other BMX riders in celebration of National BMX Day. Our ‘Featured Photo’ updates have been few and far between lately but we couldn’t pass up on this one. Brendan Mulrooney shot the above photo of Eric Capone taking a moment to cool off from the summertime heat in true Philadelphia fashion, by hopping through an illegally opened fire hydrant during the Berks X Alive Industries jam last month. The spurting water in for foreground as well as the rainbow colored curbs, poles, flags and brightly colored houses in the background provided by the ‘Gayborhood’ section of Philadelphia really make the photo come alive.

The annual Catty Woods 4th of July Jam was held on Tuesday, July 4th. Some inclement weather over the weekend threatened the jam but the locals prevailed in having the trails ready to roll in time. Some of the FBM crew was on hand for the event and a gallery of photos shot by Steve Crandall and Ryan Hoey has been uploaded to the FBM website. 2017 Winter Welcome Jam Photos

The 2017 Winter Welcome Jam was held this past weekend (Saturday, February 25th) at The Wheel Mill in Pittsburgh, PA. The jam, which is an annual event and is spearheaded by Michael Potoczny and Mark Potoczny brings together both live music and BMX riders from all across the state of Pennsylvania and beyond for a day of great tunes, good vibes and riding.
