BMXlife X Illumine Collect Collaboration Shirt Pre-Order
BMXlife has partnered with Illumine Collect to offer a limited edition T-shirt to benefit the program. For those that don’t know, the BMXlife program is aimed at helping at-risk youths develop healthy lifestyles by getting them involved in BMX. The program is based in North Philadelphia and run by Joby Suender (Animal Bikes / Chocolate Truck) and ODAAT (One Day At A Time). The shirt was designed by Casey Smith and pays homage to the old school era Radical Rick cartoons. The pre-order runs until 5/27; you can pre-order yours by clicking here.
The Fifth Annual Hosed Jam
On Saturday, May 11, 2019, the Action Wheels Bike Shop hosted their fifth annual Hosed Jam at the Bethlehem Skateplaza. Merritt BMX also held a meet-up and Skatepark session that coincided with the event bringing out some of the Merritt crew to mix it up with the locals for the day. On April 20th, 2019, the first stop of the FBM X DIG D.I.Y. World Championship was held at the Lost Bowl in Richmond, Virginia. Ride PA BMX contributing photographer Kyle Dipilla loaded up his gear and drove out for a weekend of second-hand smoke and BMX madness. You can view the complete gallery of photos after the jump. The Next Generation Jam is an annual catalyst for good times and youth encouragement. These annual jams are made possible thanks to the hard work of the Halahan family and Michael Potoczny. The 2019 Next Generation Jam was held on Saturday, April 13th, at The Wheel Mill in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Keihin Sherry – Let’s See Where Things Go
Keihin Sherry is a name you might not yet be familiar with but will likely be seeing more of in the future. Keihin has been on our radar through social media for a while now, but today he released the first episode of a web video series on his YouTube channel. The video was filmed during a solo street session around Keihin’s hometown of Altoona, PA. Garrett Darr | Reid Menzer 2019
Garrett Darr has a new web video online from a session at his local skatepark, Reid Menzer. The video was filmed and edited by Christopher Shank and features Garrett running through a minute and a half of smooth lines; not bad for a guy on a bike made of hand me down parts.
Next Generation Jam 2019
“The Next Generation Jam brings youth shredders from all over America to come together and jam like the big dudes! The jam is for all kids, all abilities and all bikes. The only goal is to have fun on two wheels. The Halahan Family and Mike Potoczny have partnered up for the last 6 years to grow youth BMX and build the community and start the kids off right. This year’s jam at The Wheel Mill is going down April 13th from 12-8pm.
