This past weekend, Brendan Mulrooney made his way to Philadelphia for The Street Series along with hundreds of other BMX riders in celebration of National BMX Day. In The Cut – The Street Series 2017
DIG’s latest installment in their ‘In The Cut’ series takes aim at The Street Series which invaded the streets of Philadelphia yesterday (July 22nd.) Rob Dolecki was on hand during the event to capture some of the madness on DIG’s behalf. The event turned out hundreds of BMX riders that took over the streets (and rooftops) of North Philadelphia for their chance to win the ring and celebrate National BMX Day. In the end, Mike Guth took home the ring with some heavy moves throughout the day including a big 180 over a handrail and a backwards rail to 180 out.

Our ‘Featured Photo’ updates have been few and far between lately but we couldn’t pass up on this one. Brendan Mulrooney shot the above photo of Eric Capone taking a moment to cool off from the summertime heat in true Philadelphia fashion, by hopping through an illegally opened fire hydrant during the Berks X Alive Industries jam last month. The spurting water in for foreground as well as the rainbow colored curbs, poles, flags and brightly colored houses in the background provided by the ‘Gayborhood’ section of Philadelphia really make the photo come alive.

The annual Catty Woods 4th of July Jam was held on Tuesday, July 4th. Some inclement weather over the weekend threatened the jam but the locals prevailed in having the trails ready to roll in time. Some of the FBM crew was on hand for the event and a gallery of photos shot by Steve Crandall and Ryan Hoey has been uploaded to the FBM website. You can view the complete gallery of photos which includes some shots of the locals custom FBM and Steadfast builds, after the jump.

Nick Bott’s standout section from “Jib: Tape #4” is the third section from the video to be uploaded to the Jib Vimeo account. Nick’s section transitions perfectly from the preceding Stink Pit section of the video. From start to finish Nick’s section is full of solid riding (some of the videos best in my opinion) and bangers. Be on the lookout for more sections from “Jib: Tape #4” right here as they are released online.
