Franklin’s Paine Skatepark To Allow BMX
After years of waiting the Franklin Paine’s Skatepark is slated to open on May 22nd. The park recently launched a Kickstarter with a goal of $10,000 which they superseded and the Franklin’s Paine website has been getting updated with videos of the construction but during all this BMX riders have been left to wonder if the park will permit BMX riding. Today I sent an email to Franklin’s Paine asking if the “mixed-use” term we have seen time and time again will include BMX, within a few hours I received a response from the Executive Director Claire Levar explaining that the park was designed for Skateboarding however the park would also be open to BMX.
Make sure to keep up with the Franklin’s Paine Skatepark fund and the parks progress through their website, and don’t forget to like them on Facebook, you can also check out the third in a series of construction videos of the park after the jump.
