2019 has been a milestone year for Posh Woods, which has been celebrating twenty-five years of BMX rad-ness! It’s hard to imagine a set of BMX trails lasting a quarter of a century, but on Saturday, August 31st, Posh Woods hosted a 25th Birthday Jam and 4th Annual High Air Comp. Kyle Dipilla made the trip out to these legendary trails in Bethlehem, PA, and shot a gallery of photos for us, which you can view after the jump.

2018 was a wet one. Record-setting rainfall levels for almost the entire trail season had left trail locals all over the northeast feeling a bit bewildered, and frankly, pretty frustrated. Fortunately, the jams we host at Posh and Catty are a catalyst for great times no matter what the weather throws at us. When there is a small army of visiting trail shredders eager to get the trails running by any means necessary, the trails are likely going to run in any weather short of a Category 4 hurricane!

On April 20th, 2019, the first stop of the FBM X DIG D.I.Y. World Championship was held at the Lost Bowl in Richmond, Virginia. Ride PA BMX contributing photographer Kyle Dipilla loaded up his gear and drove out for a weekend of second-hand smoke and BMX madness. You can view the complete gallery of photos after the jump. Read More “Photo Gallery: FBM X DIG D.I.Y. Worlds Stop One”The Street Series was originally started in the U.K. by Tom Creasy, DUB BMX, and Monster Energy. In its six-year lifespan, The Street Series grew from an idea into a globally recognized event staged in cities around the world and held in support of BMX Day. The final Street Series took place on Saturday, July 22, 2017, and was hosted in Melbourne, Moscow, Paris, London, San Diego, and Philadelphia. Dan Lacey returned to host the event in Philadelphia for the second year in a row, and with the assistance of Matt Miller and the Chocolate Truck crew, guided the crowd of hundreds of BMX riders from spot to spot through the neighborhoods of North Philadelphia.
One year later, we reconnected with some of the locals that were in attendance as well as our contributing photographers, Sam Downs, Frank Ashbridge, and Kyle Dipilla, for a look back at the final Street Series in Philadelphia. Frank Ashbridge also edited together some previously unseen footage that he filmed during the 9th and Poplar stop of The Street Series.

On Friday, October 13th, 2017 the locals (@nobikesinthelivingroom) that maintain the O’Hara Trails in Springfield, Pennsylvania hosted a ‘Friday the 13th’ jam to celebrate the most unlucky day of the year with an open invitation to ride the legendary trails. For the locals, the majority of the trail riding season was spent combating weather damage from the winter, several harsh rainfalls including the fallout from Tropical Storm Cindy, and building new lines. After all that hard work, the jam was a perfect opportunity for the locals to enjoy the fruits of their labor with the trail riding community. The combination of the fall weather mixed with smooth running lines kept the jam and the good times going well into the night.

After eighteen years in business, The Incline Club has closed it’s doors. Located in Lakewood, New Jersey, The Incline Club has over the span of it’s lifetime become one of the most renowned indoor skateparks on the East Coast. The final session was held on December 30th following a lock in at the park the night prior. The closing of the park drew a tremendous turnout in a show of support for the parks final session. Kyle Dipilla was on hand during the event to snap some photos on our behalf. You can check out the complete gallery of photos after the jump. The event was very low-key and consisted mostly of the trail locals and a few others that made the trip out for the day. Frank Ashbridge (Shutter Destruction) was on hand during the event, as was Kyle Dipilla to shoot photos for respective galleries.
