Afternoon With Chopper

East Coast Destruction released a new edit featuring Chopper last week through their website. Although this one has already made the rounds online it couldn’t be overlooked for our archives and is easily worth a second watch for anyone who’s already seen it. Chopper and Nilo Hodge filmed the edit during a two hour session at the Bethlehem Skateplaza. You can read some words from Nilo about the filming process below.

“I met up with Richard “Chopper” Viands at the Bethlehem Skateplaza to shoot a thirty minute edit. Thirty minutes turned to an hour, an hour turned to two hours. After two hours I decided to name this edit Afternoon With Chopper. He has an awesome style, super technical but can throw down huge stuff whenever.” – Nilo Hodge

Nilo Hodge recently uploaded some photos he snapped during the annual Catty Woods Halloween Jam on the East Coast Destruction website. You can read some words from Nilo about the jam below and don’t forget to check out all the photos by visiting the ECD website.

“Sunday was the annual Catty Halloween Jam down. The turnout was crazy, as usual. So many dope costumes and riders throwing down wild shit. I got there a little late, after the best trick contest but people were still riding to everything. Here’s a few photos from that day and sorry to whoever I hit in the face with my flash while jumping the shark fin.” – Nilo Hodge

Cotton Robbins – Barspin

Nilo Hodge has been hard at work on his 366 Photo Project for awhile now, and hosted his first photo opening last week in Easton, PA. This photo of Cotton Robbins throwing a barspin in front of a brick building with an old painted sign also turned up online last week and both are perfect examples of that hard work paying off. You can read some words written by Nilo about the photo below and don’t forget to check out Nilo’s 366 Photo Project for more photography.

“I went out riding around Allentown with a bunch of the younger guys today. I met Cotton a little while back and he’s pretty solid dude. I saw him trying out this tight bank to barspin. I’ve always loved the old painted sign in the background and I wanted to incorporate it into a photo. The sun was beginning to set and the sky looked awesome. I asked Cotton to give the barspin a go again and he was down. This is the shot that we came away with.” – Nilo Hodge

ECD Forgotten PennSkate Photos

“When Marky T rides the Little Devil Bowl it sounds like a train is coming. You can hear his tires hit every board holding the ramp together then he shoots out of the bowl for this transfer higher than most everyone I see do this. I’m pretty sure most, if not all of those tire marks above him are from him.” – Nilo Hodge

Nilo Hodge has updated the East Coast Destruction website with some forgotten flicks. The photos were shot in the beginning of Winter by Nilo during a session at PennSkate. Included in the gallery are shots of Andrew Messer, Clipper, Evan Anderson, Jarid Solosky, Marky T and Pat Quinn. You can check out all the photos by visiting the ECD website and don’t forget to catch the ECD section in our upcoming “Quaker State” web series.

The list is in no particular order and is not based off of any web statistics. With that in mind, we invite you to sit back, re-watch and enjoy.
