Top 12 Videos Of 2015

Every year, we post a long list of videos on this site. They are here one minute and archived the next. But before we close the doors on 2015, we wanted to take a look back and highlight the videos that we felt are the most notable from this past year. The list is in no particular order and is not based off of any web statistics. With that in mind, we invite you to sit back, re-watch and enjoy.

Featured Video: The Slow Jam

Last weekend, Brian Wizmerski and Sanchez hosted a jam in memory of “Slow” Joe McIntire who passed away on August 19th. Ryan Navazio was on hand to film the event and put together this very fitting video. The video was released on The Navi Arm earlier today and includes riding from Breyon Woods, James Hess, Kevin Vannauker, Knick Smith, Eddie Grabert, Ryan Niranonta, Brian Wizmerski and more.

“On August 30th, 2015 a group of Joe’s friends threw an impromptu jam at one of his favorite spots in Philadelphia, Baldi Middle School. In memory of “Slow” Joe Mcintire, November 14, 1986 – August 19, 2015.” – Ryan Navazio

“Slow” Joe R.I.P. Edit

John Mikos has put together some unused footage of his late friend “Slow” Joe along with some words. The footage was filmed over the span of a few years surrounding the release of Status Quo. Joe’s family will be holding a private memorial service that is set for this Sunday and will be closed to the public.

“I met “Slow” Joe through Pat Laughlin when I was helping him film clips for his Status Quo section. After awhile we started riding together and I helped film clips for Status Quo and other projects. I realized after riding with him for a little that he had a serious eye for spots that I would’ve just kept riding passed. He also had a serious bag of tricks for every spot we came across. He was a true innovator in BMX. Like Navaz has said “Joe did the first ever nollie nose manual, pole jam to nose manual, and fakie hanger.” He always strived to pull everything as clean as possible. A couple clips I’ve filmed with him he pulled pretty easily, but kept doing them to pull them cleaner. I’ve had these clips on my hard drive for a couple years. I debated whether or not to use a song with this edit, but I ultimately decided to leave the clips raw and let Joe’s riding speak for itself.
Rest easy, Joe.” – John Mikos

‘Slow’ Joe McIntire, Rest In Peace

It is with a great sadness that we inform you that ‘Slow’ Joe McIntire has passed away. We received the news through a close friend of Joe’s and his passing was confirmed by his Aunt. Although there is no obituary at the moment we will pass along any information regarding funeral services.

Joe made a name for himself following the release of Ryan Navazio’s ‘Left/Right’ video. After the release of ‘Left/Right’ Joe eventually released his own video ‘Status Quo’ which was distributed through Animal Bikes. Joe had a raw gritty riding style that the East Coast has become so welly known for and he wasn’t afraid to put his peg on anything. We hope you will all keep Joe and his family in your prayers.

In Joe’s memory we have re-posted his video ‘Status Quo’ in full after the jump.

Rest In Peace.
